I'm not speaking about your multiplexes which might be playing the latest Hollywood blockbusters, I'm referring to those historic cinemas that have fun playing the classic movies we loved watching whenever we were we were young. Many of these films we first watched in the media or rented them on VHS from our local video stores (back when they existed), but we never got to see them for the big screen where they belonged. But because of places like New Beverly Cinema, the Egyptian Theatre and Grauman's Chinese among other movie theatres, we finally get to discover their whereabouts the way they were meant to be seen.
Now I know a lot of people who today would prefer to curl up on the sofa watching movies in the home, however, these cult movies have to be seen on the big screen if you are ever in Los Angeles.
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show"
This musical comedy horror cult classic which stars Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick and also the great Tim Curry being a "sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania" will be the longest-running midnight movie ever.
