Recent Movie Of Brad Pitt! Your Thanksgiving free movie list is only two movies long, but what movies! Unlike Halloween (that I offered which you list of 100 free scary movies here), Thanksgiving takes a different twist. Neither more likely to be specific to Thanksgiving, nevertheless they relate to some themes from the holiday. Frankly, I can enjoy these free movies for Thanksgiving or for any day in the year.

Big oil company propaganda with a heart! Just the free movie we need for Thanksgiving! This 78-minute semi-documentary from 1948 is one in the most lyrical American films ever produced. In 1994, The Louisiana Story was selected for preservation inside the United States National Film Registry through the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." It is the story of the Cajun boy and the family, living for the bayous in a way of life that people can barely imagine.
The boy's family rents land towards the oil company, which comes in, drills, and instead gives off everything the same as it was, clean and unspoiled apart from the family carries a little more money. (Yes, it was funded by the Standard Oil Company.)
The boy spends most of his time on his narrow boat (pirogue), floating along the bayous, prime snake and alligator habitat, with his pet raccoon. He never wears an existence preserver or shoes... doesn't actually have a cell phone to speak to case he gets having problems. There is not much story, merely a celebration (in such stunning black and white photography that you may well wonder just what the big deal is around color) of your way of life that's no longer along with us.
All with the actors were amateurs, as well as most, this is their only film. As of April 2007, J.C. Boudreaux, who totally boy, was surviving in a FEMA trailer along with his wife of fifty-five years, after Hurricane Rita destroyed their house. (source). A monochrome silent film that ends which has a woman being burned alive? Oh, yes, exactly what every family needs at Thanksgiving. But, I have three good reasons for including The Passion of Joan of Arc in this pair of free movies for Thanksgiving.
First, I am thankful that The Passion of Joan of Arc was available. Second, I am thankful that The Passion of Joan of Arc was preserved. The director Carl Theodor Dreyer (more) died thinking that the last copy was destroyed. In a bit of weirdness that sounds much more a movie as opposed to truth, a practically complete print is discovered in 1981 in a janitor's closet of the Norwegian mental institution.
Finally, I am grateful that individuals can watch this magnificent film, on many lists from the greatest films ever, totally free online at Gloria.tv, a Roman Catholic video site.
